As a Mechanical Design Technologist, you will play a key role in the design, development, and execution of technically complex projects that support innovative products and systems. Working collaboratively with cross-functional teams, you will contribute technical expertise throughout the project lifecycle—from concept and design through to testing, implementation, and production. The ideal candidate is an experienced and technically skilled engineering professional with a strong background in manufacturing environments and a passion for designing practical, high-quality solutions. With a minimum of six (6) years of experience in mechanical design, you bring hands-on expertise in electro-mechanical systems and a strong understanding of Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA) principles. You are highly proficient in both 2D and 3D CAD software—preferably AutoCAD and Inventor—and possess exceptional drafting capabilities. Backed by a Mechanical Technologist Diploma (or equivalent), you are confident interpreting engineering drawings and specifications while balancing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Equally important, you are a collaborative team player with strong communication skills, a detail-oriented mindset, and a proactive, analytical approach to problem-solving. You thrive working independently, take initiative, and enjoy contributing innovative ideas that support continuous improvement and project success.
