Our client is the largest privately-owned company that offers access to a broad range of electrical distribution products and services. To support this exponential growth, they are seeking an experienced Senior Process Engineer to join their dynamic team in a full-time permanent position. Salary - $43 to $53 an hour

Responsibilities

  • Lead and organize Kaizen events to improve productivity, quality, and efficiency.
  • Support long-term lean initiatives and contribute to continuous improvement goals.
  • Analyze and improve workflows using tools like Value Stream Mapping.
  • Identify and reduce waste using lean methods such as 5S and Standard Work.
  • Help improve production line layouts for better efficiency and safety.
  • Use data and metrics like KPIs and OEE to find and drive improvement areas.
  • Collaborate with teams across production, quality, engineering, and supply chain.
  • Explore and implement automation and digital tools to improve processes.
  • Ensure materials are handled and stored safely, following ergonomic best practices.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in science or engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in process or manufacturing engineering, with a focus on lean manufacturing and continuous improvement in an electrical manufacturing environment.
  • Proven track record of leading Kaizen events and implementing lean strategies.
  • Strong knowledge of lean tools such as 5S, Value Stream Mapping, Kanban, JIT, TPM, and SMED.
  • Experience using data analysis, process simulation, and automation to support process improvements.
  • Familiar with digital lean tools like MES and Power BI; experience with FMEA software is a plus.
  • Knowledge of PFMEA development, risk assessments, and mitigation planning.
  • Experience working in high-volume, low-mix manufacturing environments.
  • Understanding of quality systems such as APQP, control plans, and validation tools.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, and other manufacturing standards.
  • Strong problem-solving and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication and training skills to support team development and drive change.
