Operations Controller – Full-Time, On-Site | Woodbridge, ON
Exclusive opportunity with our client in the manufacturing sector
We’re hiring an Operations Controller for our client in Woodbridge to support their manufacturing operations through a financial risk and performance lens. This is not a traditional Financial Controller role — there are no direct reports and no involvement in daily accounting tasks or financial statement preparation.
Instead, this is a highly hands-on, operationally focused position that blends elements of internal auditing, financial analysis, and process improvement. Working closely with production and operations teams, the Operations Controller will be a key player in identifying risks, improving efficiency, and ensuring strong internal controls.
The role reports directly to the Group Controller and is fully on-site, requiring regular presence on the shop floor.
Experience & Credentials
Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
CPA designation (or in final stages).
Strong technical proficiency in financial and audit software.
Mindset & Skills
Analytical, detail-oriented, and solutions-focused.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Comfortable working independently in a dynamic setting.
Naturally curious and confident being present on the production floor.

Self-directed, proactive, and thrives in hands-on roles.
Strong cross-functional collaborator — able to work closely with operations and department managers.
Open to occasional domestic/international travel (valid passport required).
Not suited for candidates seeking a traditional accounting or office-based controller role.
Opportunity to make a direct impact on operational efficiency and financial risk management.
Work in a visible, highly collaborative role embedded in day-to-day operations.
Be part of a company that values continuous improvement and supports cross-functional initiatives.
A chance to move away from routine accounting and dive into analysis, auditing, and strategic projects.
Competitive compensation and the chance to grow with a forward-thinking manufacturing organization.
