About Our Client:
Our tier 1 client is seeking a professional Manager in Financial Planning and Analysis with a strong background in the manufacturing/CPG/Cannabis industry. The successful candidate will report to the VP and play a pivotal role in helping the company's short and long-term objectives. This role requires candidates to be available immediately. Contract to permanent placement opportunity.
Responsibilities
- Build inventory standard costs and analyze production variances for material, labour, and overhead components, by SKU
- Manage different parts of the financial model, as well as discover productivity improvement opportunities to ensure that the model is fit for purpose, operational, accurate, and complete in terms of inputs, outputs, and essential variables.
- Provide monthly and quarterly management reporting of financial performance results with descriptions and analysis vs. plan and prior periods.
- Support in the preparation of the company's annual and long-range financial planning process supported by a detailed bottoms-up financial model including P&L, cash flow, balance sheet, and CAPEX projections;
- Upkeep and revise business unit profitability allocation models, along with KPIs.
- Prepare annual budgeting process and receive insight from all business and team leaders.
- Support with Ad hoc decisions and analysis as needed.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) with experience in manufacturing / CPG or as a senior from a public accounting firm supporting manufacturing clients.
- Sound knowledge of inventory standard costs, and production variances analysis of material, labour, and overhead components.
- CPA designation is required.
- Detail oriented, and highly analytical to recognize key insights from complex financial models, problem solve and establish conclusions.
- Proficient in MS Excel and PowerPoint to create financial models and add-in functionalities to support business initiatives.
- Excellent communication skills- both oral and written
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Proven ability to develop strong and trusting relationships with all levels of management.
- Proven ability to be proactive in learning opportunities in a fast-paced working environment.
