Job Description
Our client, a large, well-established Retailer, is looking for a dynamic and strategic thinking Manager, Vendor Programs to join their team.
Please note that this role is 5-days on-site based in the west GTA.
Responsibilities
- Partnering with internal & external stakeholders to assess, develop and/or enhance vendor programming within retail locations
- Analyze & manage in-store product and service requirements ensuring partnerships are aligned with business objectives
- Assess and identify strengths & opportunities in current vendor selection process
- Provide recommendations and manage the implementation of new and updated vendor processes
- Participate in negotiations with internal & external stakeholders with regards to vendor agreements, ensuring key objectives & budget requirements are met
- Develop & manage communication with retail locations outlining product & service offerings, upcoming promotions, and other information as needed to inform decision-making and increase participation as a whole
- Managing reporting & analysis of vendor programs to ensure KPIs are being met, to evaluate vendor compliance, and to oversee budgeting & forecasting
- Presenting an annual summary of vendor programming (strengths, opportunities and recommendations) to the Board of Directors
- Create & implement retail store support program for vendor service related issues
- Work alongside Retail Management to assess individual store performance, assess strengths & gaps for non-participation and providing strategic solutions to enhance programs
Skills & Knowledge
- Minimum 5 years progressive experience in Vendor Program Management or Retail Buying
- University Degree and/or College Diploma in Business Administration
- Demonstrated skills in marketing, business analytics, reporting and financial analysis
- A true people person & relationship builder - must have a strong passion for working and communicating with diverse groups of people on a daily basis
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Very high attention to detail
