About our Client

Our client, a leader in manufacturing flexible packaging is looking for a highly qualified and experienced Maintenance Manager to manage the upkeep of their facilities in Burnaby. The Maintenance Manager will oversee developing and carrying out preventative maintenance schedules, resolving equipment problems, locating substitute parts, guaranteeing an expeditious reaction to equipment breakdowns, and ensuring the efficient running of the facilities. Salary - $90K to $100,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Oversee and plan out every aspect of facility upkeep.
• Perform routine maintenance and identify possible problems by inspecting systems and equipment on a regular basis.
• Oversee a group of maintenance specialists, offering direction, instruction, and assistance to guarantee peak performance.
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and electronic systems to quickly identify and fix equipment malfunctions.
• Work together with other suppliers and partners to find substitute components and materials as needed.
• Develop and maintain relationships with equipment manufacturers and service providers to stay updated on technological advancements and best practices.
• Plan and oversee the installation of new equipment with a multidisciplinary team.
• Incorporate safety procedures and guarantee adherence to legal requirements in all maintenance operations.
• Compile reports on maintenance activities, including equipment performance, downtime, and maintenance costs for compliance evaluation
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to create and oversee maintenance plans, reduce downtime, find ways to cut costs, and allocate resources as efficiently as possible.

Qualifications

• Must have maintenance management expertise, ideally in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of electronics, mechanical, and electrical systems.
• Good troubleshooting abilities, including the capacity to identify and fix equipment problems quickly.
• Capabilities for both team management and effective leadership.
• Outstanding interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Ability to fulfill deadlines and work under pressure and tight deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
