About Our Client


Our Client is a prominent law firm committed to delivering comprehensive business, litigation, and dispute resolution services to clients across Canada and internationally. We take pride in offering the resources of a large firm while preserving the personalized relationships and collaborative culture of a smaller practice.

They are currently seeking an ICBC Insurance Defence Legal Administrative Assistant with solid work experience and educational background to join our litigation practice. This role will be supporting a Partner and Paralegal

Salary ranging from $55,000 to $70,000. We also offer a variety of benefits

Responsibilities
  • Draft and transcribe legal documents and general correspondence with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Coordinate and schedule mediations, discoveries, trials, and client meetings.
  • Manage files, including organizing documents, updating binders, and ensuring proper filing.
  • Maintain an active bring-forward system to track deadlines and ensure timely task completion.
  • Handle the organization and maintenance of both open and closed files as required.
  • Prepare and follow up on monthly billing statements.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned to support the team.

Qualifications

  • Completion of an accredited Legal Administrative Assistant program or equivalent relevant experience.
  • A minimum of 4+ years of experience as a Litigation Legal Administrative Assistant (LAA). Prior experience with ICBC files is an asset.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Outlook; familiarity with Elite 3E is an advantage.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Proven ability to prioritize tasks, multitask effectively, and meet deadlines in a high-volume practice.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Thorough understanding of litigation legal procedures.
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality with sensitive client information.
