Position Summary

My top client in the real-estate industry is looking for an experienced and results-driven Leasing Manager to lead the marketing, negotiation, and execution of leasing opportunities across a portfolio of commercial properties. This role reports into the Vice President, Asset Management and will work closely with Senior Management on the office and retail portfolio. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in office and non-residential leasing, excellent relationship-building skills, is entrepreneurial and has a solid understanding of commercial real estate documentation and lease negotiations.

This role is well suited to a leasing professional with deep market knowledge in Ontario, particularly in the London or Kitchener markets, who thrives in a fast-paced, relationship-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute leasing strategies to attract and retain office and commercial tenants.
  • Identify and pursue prospective tenants through networking, broker outreach, and direct business development.
  • Negotiate Financial Terms of leasing proposals, offers and leases to achieve optimum value and prepare proposals/offers
  • Demonstrate excellent sales and leasing skills continuously seeking to minimize vacancy and achieve leasing targets
  • Strategically plan broker functions for the purpose of marketing space and maintaining business relationships
  • Compile market research including occupancy reports, recent transactions, new development
  • Tour prospective tenants through available suites
  • Work collaboratively with property management, operations and construction to confirm negotiations terms and seamlessly transition new tenants
  • Travel regularly throughout Ontario to meet with prospective tenants, brokers, and partners
  • Ad hoc projects as needed

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of office leasing experience, ideally with market exposure in London or Kitchener, Ontario.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of direct lease negotiation experience.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of leasing non-residential commercial real estate, including office, retail, or industrial properties.
  • Strong ability to read, interpret, and analyze commercial real estate documents and lease agreements.
  • Proficiency with Yardi Voyager is a significant asset.
  • Exceptional networking, business development, and relationship management skills.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and capable of managing multiple leasing opportunities simultaneously.
  • Valid Ontario driver’s license and reliable access to a vehicle.
  • Willingness and ability to travel regularly within Ontario.
