Our client, a well-established property management company, is seeking a highly organized and customer-focused Leasing / Rental Agent to join their team and support a busy high-rise apartment community in Ottawa. Reporting to the Senior Property Manager, the Leasing Agent will play a key role in delivering a seamless leasing experience for prospective and current residents. This is a hands-on, fast-paced role that combines leasing responsibilities with general administrative support.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Generate and respond to leads, schedule and conduct showings, and guide prospective residents through the application and leasing process.
  • Prepare and execute lease agreements, coordinate move-ins and move-outs, and ensure all documentation is accurate in the property management system.
  • Inspect units for readiness and marketability, coordinate turnovers and final inspections, and prepare keys and welcome packages for new residents.
  • Conduct comparative market analyses to ensure competitive pricing and provide insights to the management team.
  • Assist with office administrative functions, including responding to tenant inquiries via phone, email, or in person, processing rent payments, and logging work order requests.
  • Maintain professional, positive relationships with residents, promote a harmonious community experience, and provide updates and recommendations to the Property Manager to enhance operations.

Ideal Candidate:
  • Prior experience in residential leasing or property management preferred.
  • Strong customer service mindset and ability to work in a fast-paced, tenant-facing environment.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of multitasking and prioritizing effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a professional demeanor.
  • Proficiency in property management software such as Yardi or Rent Café and MS Office is a strong asset.
