About Our Client
Our client, located in Downtown Toronto, is a prominent player in the Financial Services industry. In this Investment Analyst position, they are looking for an energetic and detail-oriented individual to support the investment committee in a variety of routine and ad-hoc tasks. This team player will play an essential role in supporting the activities of the Corporate Finance team.
Responsibilities
As the Investment Analyst you will be responsible for, but not limited to the following:
- Prepare the monthly investment reports for internal and external stakeholders with the appropriate commentary
- Prepare a thorough analysis of investment managers (portfolio characteristics, performance attribution), including assessing key metrics and investigating any items identified anomalies
- Support ad-hoc investment projects by developing required financial models - such as asset allocation and PE pacing models
- Investigate client investment queries
- Support senior team members in external manager meetings as required
- Automate and streamline existing reporting and identify new processes and internal controls as required
- Assist in the onboarding of new investment managers
Qualifications
- 2+ years of relevant experience
- CFA designation or actively enrolled in the process
- Excellent organization and time management skills
- Strong attention to detail and a mindset for automation, efficiency, and critical thinking
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to multitask, meet pressing deadlines, and make sound decisions based on priorities and risks
