About Our Client:

Our rapidly growing Toronto-based client in the real estate and property space is looking for an Intermediate Property Accountant to join their team. The Senior Property Accountant will be responsible for the following tasks:
Responsibilities

Reporting to the Director of Property Accounting, the Intermediate Property Accountant is responsible for
  • Monthly and quarterly financial reporting, including financial statements and operating costs
  • Journal entries/accruals;ensuring accurate revenue recognition
  • Bank reconciliations and cash flow forecasting
  • CAM and Tax adjustments;HST returns
  • Coordinating preparation of the annual property budget
  • Preparing variance, trend and other required ad-hoc analysis
  • Supporting the external audit process and providing guidance to junior staff

Qualifications
  • Post-secondary education in accounting, finance or business
  • 2 + years' full-cycle accounting experience, in real-estate/property management
  • 1+ years of CAM and Tax Recovery Experience is preferred but not a must
  • Intermediate Excel skills and a strong aptitude for systems
  • Enrollment in the CPA program is preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational abilities
  • Positive attitude towards being in office
