Work Model: Hybrid - 3 days per week onsite

Our client is seeking a Configuration Manager to join their Production Operations team. In this role, you’ll support the design, configuration, and build of enterprise systems. You’ll work closely with Sales, Engineering, and Production teams to prepare accurate system configurations, support quoting, and ensure customer systems are built correctly and consistently. This is a hands-on, detail-oriented role ideal for someone with a strong technical foundation and an interest in system design, configuration management, and documentation.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare system configurations based on sales inputs, customer requirements, and resource needs
Recommend appropriate hardware and third-party software solutions
Review, validate, and support system quotes
Support the system build and release process by preparing final customer configurations
Maintain and improve configuration standards, templates, and documentation
Track and document system changes, configurations, and releases
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Sales, Engineering, Production, and Support
Assist with after-sales system changes and technical guidance as needed

Required Qualifications

Post-secondary education in IT Infrastructure, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
3+ years of experience in system configuration, infrastructure, or a related technical role
Working knowledge of data centre environments, enterprise hardware, and virtualization (VMware)
Experience with Windows Server and Linux operating systems
Understanding of storage solutions (SAN, NAS, DAS, etc.)
Experience with technical documentation and configuration records
Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills

Nice to Have

Microsoft or enterprise software licensing knowledge
Experience with configuration or version control tools (Git, CI/CD, Excel, etc.)
Familiarity with ERP systems, BOMs, or hardware costing
Exposure to cloud or hybrid environment
