Our reputable client in the environmental sector is seeking an experienced, strategic, and passionate Senior Manager, Enterprise PMO to lead a high-performing team within our Enterprise Transformation Office (ETO). This is a hands-on leadership role for a true change agent — someone ready to build next-generation PMO capabilities and directly shape the success of critical transformation initiatives.
Reporting to the Director, ePMO, you’ll drive PMO strategy, governance maturity, fiscal discipline, and project portfolio performance. Your success will be measured by your ability to create a transparent, high-impact delivery engine and foster strong partnerships that lead to predictable, measurable outcomes.
This is a hybrid role (4 days onsite) based out of their Vaughan office.
Lead, mentor, and coach a team of Project and Program Managers to deliver outstanding results and continuous improvement.
Proactively oversee a portfolio of strategic initiatives to ensure successful delivery and deployment.
Build strong, collaborative relationships across business units to secure alignment and remove roadblocks.
Identify and resolve systemic issues, escalating critical impediments and driving them to resolution.
Champion PMO best practices, lead knowledge-sharing sessions, and support career growth within the ETO.
Serve as a subject-matter expert in enterprise delivery frameworks (e.g., SAFe, portfolio management) to enhance speed, value, and predictability.
Design, implement, and continuously improve PMO governance, standards, and processes aligned to strategic business goals.
Own the evolution of project governance and methodology, influencing ePMO strategy and roadmap.
Ensure project controls meet internal and external compliance requirements (including IT SOX), collaborating closely with audit and compliance teams.
Partner with executive stakeholders to evaluate new project opportunities — from ideation to intake — defining scope, ROI, OKRs, and high-level costing.
Translate complex delivery details into clear, actionable insights for C-suite and senior leadership.
Develop data-driven executive presentations (Steering Committees, Executive Briefings) to inform decisions and highlight portfolio health.
Navigate organizational dynamics, build consensus, and secure funding and resources for strategic initiatives.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, or related field.
Project Management certification (PMP or equivalent) required.
Additional certifications such as SAFe Agilist (SA) or Scrum Master (CSM/SSM) are strong assets.
7+ years of progressive project management experience delivering complex, enterprise-wide transformations.
5+ years leading PMO teams or building governance frameworks across agile and hybrid environments (Scrum, SAFe, waterfall/agile).
Proven success in establishing and scaling PMO governance, controls, and delivery methodologies.
Strong financial management experience with budgets exceeding $1M.
Strategic PMO Builder: Skilled in evolving frameworks and tools that enhance predictability and performance.
Executive Communicator: Adept at delivering concise, data-driven insights that influence executive decision-making.
Trusted Leader & Influencer: Builds credibility and collaboration across teams and leadership levels.
Financially Savvy: Experienced in forecasting, cost management, and ROI modeling.
Technical Proficiency: Skilled with G-Suite, Smartsheet, Monday.com, JIRA, or comparable PPM tools.
