Our top client in the Private Equity and Venture Capital industry in Toronto is seeking a seasoned professional to lead their investor relations and marketing communications efforts. This Head of IR & Marketing Communications (Permanent Position) will be responsible for shaping and executing strategic communication initiatives that engage their investor community and enhance the visibility of the organizations investment philosophy, with a focus on cutting-edge sectors such as AI and cybersecurity. In this senior role, you will collaborate closely with both the Investor Relations and Marketing teams to deliver compelling messaging, thought leadership, and impactful content to key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement comprehensive global investor relations strategies, encompassing events, virtual engagements, email campaigns, and content creation.
- Content Development: Lead the creation of high-level materials such as investor pitch decks, data room assets, and key presentations to support the fund’s narrative and portfolio performance.
- Investor Engagement: Oversee programming and content creation for investor meetings, roadshows, conferences, and annual general meetings (AGMs) to effectively communicate the value proposition of the company and its portfolio.
- Investor Reporting: Manage the preparation of quarterly reports, ensuring timely and insightful updates on fund performance, market trends, and portfolio developments.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all communications align with regulatory standards, maintaining transparency, consistency, and trust within the investor community.
- Enablement & Training: Design and implement an investor relations enablement program to strengthen the capabilities of the IR team.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with Finance, Legal, and Compliance teams to deliver cohesive messaging and uphold best practices across all investor communications.
- Digital Engagement: Expand the company's digital footprint by leveraging digital platforms—webinars, social media, and other channels—to engage with investors and share timely updates.
- Partnerships & Vendor Management: Lead relationships with internal and external partners, agencies, and contractors to produce world-class marketing materials.
- Performance Analysis: Measure and analyze the effectiveness of marketing and investor engagement programs, continuously optimizing strategies based on data-driven insights.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in communications, marketing, finance, or a related field.
- Professional Experience: 5+ years of senior-level experience in investor relations communications, ideally within financial services or asset management sectors.
- Communication Expertise: Strong ability to craft and deliver compelling messaging, with a keen eye for design and information presentation across multiple platforms, including digital channels.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Proven track record of working with cross-functional teams, including Investor Relations, Finance, Legal, and Compliance, to deliver high-impact investor communication programs.
- Project Management Skills: Excellent organizational and time management capabilities, with a demonstrated ability to prioritize and execute in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Digital Proficiency: Experience in engaging investors via digital platforms, including social media and webinars, to drive engagement and brand awareness.
