Position ID # 32616

Position: Google Analytics & BI Analyst (Contract)
Location: Remote – Canada or U.S.
Contract Length: 3–6 months
Compensation: Competitive and based on experience

About Our Client

Our client is a North American insurance services company with a growing portfolio of consumer-facing brands. As they scale their marketing operations across multiple properties, they are investing in best-in-class analytics infrastructure to ensure digital performance is accurately tracked and interpreted.

They are seeking a highly skilled and hands-on Google Analytics & Business Intelligence Specialist for a 3–6 month contract to support measurement planning, implementation, and performance reporting across multiple digital brands. This is a remote role open to candidates in Canada or the U.S. The ability to work Eastern or Central time zone hours is preferred.

The successful candidate will work closely with internal stakeholders and external agency partners to support advanced tagging strategies, develop cross-platform reporting solutions, and ensure full-funnel attribution is captured—from paid campaign clickthroughs to key user actions and final conversions.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and optimize Google Tag Manager (GTM) across multiple websites: tag implementation, configuration, testing, and troubleshooting.
  • Build and refine Looker Studio dashboards to report on KPIs, conversion funnels, traffic sources, and campaign performance.
  • Develop and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards to provide deeper insights from multiple data sources.
  • Write and optimize SQL queries to extract and transform data for analytics platforms.
  • Align tracking infrastructure with business and marketing plans to ensure data answers key questions (e.g., attribution, quote starts, conversions).
  • Work with ad platforms (Google Ads, Meta, etc.) to ensure tag behavior is correct and explain discrepancies in performance data across platforms.
  • Analyze multi-source data to provide clear, actionable insights to business partners.
  • Collaborate with internal brand teams and agency partners to ensure consistency and clarity across tagging and reporting efforts.
  • Act as the in-house SME for GA4, GTM, Power BI, and analytics integrations supporting digital performance and growth marketing.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in digital analytics, including:
    • Advanced hands-on use of Google Tag Manager (GTM) for multi-site tagging
    • Deep working knowledge of Google Analytics 4 (GA4) setup, event tracking, funnels, and attribution
    • Strong proficiency with Looker Studio for custom dashboard development and troubleshooting Google Analytics 4 data.
    • Demonstrated experience with Power BI or other visual analytics tools for data modeling, dashboard creation, and interactive reporting
    • Solid understanding of SQL for data extraction and manipulation
    • Familiarity with Google Ads, Meta, and other ad platforms—understanding how tags interact across systems
  • Experience working in B2C ecommerce or digital services with multiple brands or domains
  • Strong understanding of full-funnel measurement strategies, including user journeys from ad click to transaction or quote completion
  • Ability to integrate data from multiple sources and platforms into cohesive reporting solutions
  • Excellent analytical skills—able to interpret data and present findings clearly and concisely
  • A highly collaborative communicator who is responsive, reliable, and proactive

Nice to Have

  • Experience in regulated industries, insurance, or subscription-based consumer services
  • Familiarity with BigQuery, data warehousing, or other advanced analytics environments
  • Experience with DAX formulas and custom visual development in Power BI
  • Knowledge of Power BI Service administration and deployment pipelines
  • Understanding of privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and consent management frameworks
  • Microsoft Power BI certification

Note: We appreciate and thank all applicants for their interest in the role. However, only candidates who meet the qualifications and requirements of the position will be contacted for further consideration.
