About our Client


Our client is a Vancouver-based commercial cleaning company with a reputation for reliability, professionalism, and top-tier service. As they continue to grow, they are looking for a General Manager to take the lead in overseeing day-to-day operations, managing staff, and driving strategic growth. This is an exciting opportunity for a strong leader with experience in operations, team management, and customer service—someone who’s ready to make a real impact in a fast-paced, service-driven environment.

Salary Ranges from 90-130K Depending on experience


Responsibilities

Operations Management

Oversee daily cleaning operations across all client sites
Manage staff scheduling, coverage planning, and vacation approvals
Lead hiring, onboarding, training, and performance management of field and supervisory staff
Monitor inventory and manage vendor relationships for timely ordering and cost control
Enforce company policies, quality standards, and SOPs

Client Relations

Act as the primary contact for client communication, issue resolution, and service delivery
Conduct site visits, inspections, and client satisfaction reviews
Prepare rate increase proposals and manage contract renewals
Address and resolve client concerns or service issues promptly

Financial Oversight

Oversee client invoicing and ensure timely, accurate billing
Coordinate accounts payable/receivable with the finance team
Monitor operational budgets, gross profit margins, and contract profitability
Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) to ownership

Fleet & Asset Management

Manage company fleet assignments, maintenance schedules, and insurance compliance
Ensure proper return and tracking of equipment, keys, and access cards

Compliance & Safety

Ensure adherence to all health, safety, and employment regulations
Investigate incidents, ensure accurate reporting, and implement corrective actions
Maintain compliance with client site-specific requirements

Leadership & Growth

Identify opportunities for operational improvements and cost savings
Support onboarding of new contracts and assist in business development
Contribute to strategic planning and budgeting alongside ownership


QUALIFICATIONS

5+ years of experience in operations management, preferably in the commercial cleaning or facilities services industry
Proven leadership experience managing teams across multiple locations
Strong understanding of scheduling, budgeting, and service delivery in a fast-paced environment
Excellent client service and relationship management skills
Solid knowledge of workplace safety regulations and compliance standards
Experience with invoicing, cost control, and basic financial reporting
Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and scheduling/CRM software
Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle
