General Accountant

The Company:

Our client is an expert in the construction industry. Focussing on many verticals, our client completes projects within Residential and Commercial settings.

The Position:

The role of the General Accountant is pivotal within the Finance & Accounting department, providing essential accounting support across the organization.

The Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring the integrity and compliance of accounting records in accordance with organizational accounting standards.
  • Compilation of internal financial statement data for monthly, quarterly, and annual basis reporting.
  • Execution of accurate and timely monthly journal entries.
  • Assisting with intercompany transactions, including reconciliations of accounts and banks, and maintenance of monthly balances.
  • Facilitating the financial management and basic bookkeeping of the company.
  • Conducting reconciliations of credit card statements, including the verification of receipts and the allocation & distribution of expenses.
  • Participating in the management of treasury functions. ie) billings, AR and posting effectively
  • Supporting the auditing process, whether quarterly or annually, as needed with administrative tasks
  • Undertaking additional tasks as deemed necessary by the Sr. Management Grp.


  • A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field is required.
  • At least 2 - 4years of experience in a General Accounting role.
  • Professional certifications such as CPA or CMA a nice to have, pursuing will be accepted.
  • The capacity to efficiently handle multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Keen analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
