About the Role:
Our client is looking for a professional Fund Accountant professional with a minimum of 2 years experience in fund accounting or similar financial role. The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable with portfolio/ accounting systems.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee fund accounting, accruals, allocations, reconciliations, and NAV calculations.
- Execute and balance trades, derivatives, FX, and corporate actions.
- Confirm cash and security positions with custodians and counterparties.
- Assess and verify security pricing using approved sources.
- Monitor cash flow and maintain fund liquidity.
- Coordinate with internal teams to address discrepancies.
- Drive automation and process enhancement initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
- 2–4 years’ experience in fund accounting or similar financial role.
- Solid understanding of GAAP and investment fund principles.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and teamwork skills.
- Skilled in Excel. Experience with portfolio/accounting systems (ideal).
- Motivated to grow and advance in fund accounting.
