Our client, a long-standing Canadian technology company specializing in operational software for public service agencies, is seeking an experienced Financial Analyst with strong FP&A expertise. Reporting to the Director of FP&A, this highly engaged individual will partner with executive leaders across Sales, Marketing, and Finance to analyze and optimize Go-To-Market strategies. This strategic and impactful role is critical to driving revenue growth, providing deep analytics and reporting to support decision-making at the C-suite and leadership levels.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Modeling & Analysis:

  • Partner with the Sr. Revenue Operations Analysts to enhance and maintain Go-To-Market financial models, with a focus on Software as a Service (SaaS).
  • Build and maintain financial models for various business scenarios, markets, customer, and product segments.

Performance Analysis:

  • Conduct in-depth financial performance analysis of marketing, government affairs, sales, and partner success.
  • Collaborate with Sr. Revenue Operations Analysts to drive prospect engagement, lead generation, sales, and customer retention.
  • Develop and track key operational and financial indicators (KPIs) of success

Reporting & Presentations:

  • Prepare financial reports, dashboards, and presentations for leadership teams to support decision-making.
  • Conduct ad hoc financial analyses to address emerging needs within the team.

Budgeting & Forecasting:

  • Collaborate with leadership to develop annual budgets and periodic forecasts aligned with the company’s strategic goals.
  • Regularly monitor actual performance against forecasts and budgets, providing variance analysis and actionable recommendations.

Sales Support:

  • Provide financial analysis for RFP responses, including different pricing and costing scenarios.
  • Work with the revenue operations team to approve discounts and ensure financial alignment.

The ideal candidate will hold a post secondary education in accounting or business management, complemented by a strong academic record and relevant certifications such as CPA, CFA, or MBA would be considered an asset. With 3+ years of experience in financial analysis and planning, preferably within high-growth tech-enabled services or SaaS industries, you bring expertise in supporting an FP&A function within a private sector or publicly traded organization with a complex FP&A function. You will bring proven expertise with complex and deep financial analysis and providing detailed management and financial reporting to leadership. Proficiency in Excel and various financial tools and applications is essential, alongside exceptional time-management, multitasking, and communication skills. You are proactive, curious, and adept at thinking outside the box to improve processes while thriving in collaborative, fast-paced environments. Bonus points for experience with Salesforce, Intacct, as well as technical skills in Power BI, or Tableau. Strong data visualization skills, financial modeling, budget creation and analysis, including creating dashboards with charts, graphs, and trend analysis, are required.

Candidates must be Enhanced Security Clearance eligible and are required on site 5 days / week for this amazing opportunity.
