Our client is a Canadian company that specializes in the development and production of advanced solutions for aerospace and defence systems. They provide innovative technologies for navigation, control, and surveillance, as well as customized engineering services to government and commercial customers.


The Opportunity
Our client is searching for a Financial Analyst to join their team in the Mississauga area. This role will have a strong focus on project costing activities as it pertains to manufacturing projects. The incumbent will work closely with key stakeholders to provide timely and accurate data reporting and analysis;as well as, suggest process improvements using analysis to back conclusions.


The Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring that all work is performed in accordance with the company's Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Preparing and analyzing data related to assigned projects.
  • Utilize Oracle ERP and Excel to produce reports and analyze data
  • Collaborate with department heads and Program Managers to relay financial insights with a focus on costing activities
  • Identifying ways to improve department processes and customer service with a proactive attitude through financial analysis.
  • Handle a project load of up to 10 at a given time
  • Meeting all important month-end reporting deadlines and performing reconciliations.




The Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 2 years of Financial Analysis experience in a manufacturing environment. Ideally closer to 4+ years of total experience
  • Exposure to project costing and comfortable with costing practices
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills. V/H lookups + Pivot tables
  • Exposure to Oracle ERP preferred
  • Experience interfacing with leadership / department heads.
  • Experience with providing process improvement suggestions using data/variance analysis to support conclusions
  • CPA designation completed or in progress
  • Degree from a recognized accredited educational institution
