Job Description

We have an immediate opening to add a detail-oriented and analytical Intermediate Financial Analyst to its Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team. Reporting to the FP&A Manager, this role will play a key part in delivering financial insights, supporting performance analysis, and contributing to corporate finance initiatives across a diverse international portfolio of operations.

Position Title: Intermediate Financial Analyst

Salary & Benefits: $65,000-$75,000 plus bonus, benefits and pension, three weeks vacation

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the preparation and consolidation of annual budgets, periodic forecasts, and quarterly financial results, working closely with cross-functional teams and developing reporting materials for leadership.
  • Perform in-depth financial analysis using industry-relevant performance metrics to evaluate business results and trends.
  • Review and assess asset-level performance on a regular basis, summarizing key findings and insights for management.
  • Support the onboarding and integration of newly acquired or developed assets into existing financial reporting structures.
  • Enhance the accuracy and clarity of financial reporting and forecasting using analytical tools and ad hoc analysis.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes, recommending and supporting the implementation of efficiency improvements.
  • Assist in the evolution of financial systems, including identifying opportunities for automation and improved reporting capabilities.
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with regional teams, ensuring alignment and clear communication of financial updates and initiatives.
  • Monitor and analyze departmental financial performance, providing support to budget owners as needed.
  • Partner with the FP&A Manager on various projects, analyses, and strategic initiatives

The ideal candidate is an analytical and motivated finance professional with a strong foundation in financial analysis and reporting, ideally bringing experience from a Big 4 environment and looking to further develop within an FP&A function while completing a CPA designation. With at least two years of relevant experience, you will demonstrate a solid understanding of financial reporting frameworks, including IFRS and consolidation principles, and is comfortable working with large, complex datasets. You are detail-oriented and disciplined in their approach, yet capable of stepping back to identify trends, generate insights, and clearly communicate findings to stakeholders. A strong collaborator, you can build effective relationships across all levels of the organization and thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment. The successful candidate is eager to learn, receptive to feedback, and brings a humble, driven mindset paired with excellent time management and organizational skills. Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint is essential, and exposure to systems such as OneStream or IFS would be considered an asset.
