About the Role:

Our client, within the healthcare industry, is seeking a Financial Analyst to join their team on a permanent basis. As a key member of the Finance team, this position focuses on financial reconciliations and government reporting, ensuring compliance with Occupational Health and Safety Act regulations.

Responsibilities:
  • Performing bank reconciliations for Operating and Trust Accounts.
  • Conducting balance sheet account reconciliations (cash, Inventory, Prepaids, Accounts Payable).
  • Preparing journal entries and accruals for approval, including VISA statements.
  • Managing monthly Capital / Prepaid entries and maintaining capital assets continuity.
  • Ensuring timely completion of government reporting and conducting rent analysis for office spaces.
  • Assisting in the preparation of monthly financial statements and supporting year-end audits.
  • Collaborating with departments to gather necessary data for journal entries.
  • Ensuring operational continuity by completing critical tasks in the absence of other Finance staff.
  • Supporting the Finance Manager and contributing to a culture of client and staff safety.

Qualifications:
  • A degree or diploma in accounting.
  • CPA certification strongly preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, ideally within healthcare finance.
  • Proficiency in general ledger software and intermediate Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong attendance record and demonstrated reliability.
