About our Client

Our client, an established electrical company in Burnaby is looking for a Licensed Electrician to join their team on a permanent position. The hours of work are from 7 am to 5 pm and are offering $32-$38 an hour depending on the experience. Responsibilities
  • Installation of fire alarms, and antennas in towers and buildings
  • Troubleshooting and repairing electrical problems
  • Reading and following electrical schematics.
  • Using hand and power tools
  • Communicating with the electrical supervisor regarding the maintenance of the building's electrical systems
  • Reviewing assigned work requests and scheduling daily tasks by consulting with end users
  • Maintaining an inventory of supplies, equipment, and tools
  • Performing service and repairs on electrical building systems and mechanical building systems equipment such as fire alarm systems, security systems, air compressors, and electric motors

Qualifications
  • Completion of Secondary School education
  • A minimum of 2 years of recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • A Certificate of Journeyman Electrician Trades Qualification authorized by the province of B.C.
  • Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints and drawings.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to interact and work with others effectively.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work.
  • Capacity to use relevant machines and equipment.
