Our client in the Construction industry is looking for a Director of Procurement! You will lead their national procurement strategy and oversee all sourcing, negotiation, and management of all materials and vendor services to support all Canadian Operations
What You’ll Do
- Develop and lead all strategic sourcing initiatives in Ontario and BC
- Collaborate with Project Managers and Estimators to forecast material needs
- Monitor market trends and supply risks to develop contingency plans
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships
- Negotiate contracts, pricing agreements, and service levels
- Implement and optimize procurement processes through ERP systems
- Track metrics for cost savings, lead times, and vendor performance
- Ensure compliance with corporate policies, safety standards, and industry regulations
What You Bring
- 10+ years of procurement/supply chain experience
- 5+ years in a management role
- Excellent communication skills and financial acumen
- Proven track record of successful contract negotiation and vendor management in the construction industry
- Proven ability to navigate procurement systems
- Strategic mindset
- Ability to travel to BC once per quarter
- High degree of professionalism, integrity, and initiative
