Our reputable client in the legal services sector is seeking a Director of Operations to join their team!
We’re looking for a proactive, strategic Director of Operations who’s ready to lead multiple departments (Accounting, HR, IT), streamline systems, and bring a thoughtful yet forceful presence to the firm’s operations.
This is a high-trust, high-impact leadership role with a strong focus on efficiency, innovation, and execution. We are looking for someone who wants to roll up their sleeves, build systems that last, and drive real change. We’re in a transformation phase with a strong focus on operational excellence.

- Oversee Accounting, IT, and HR teams – bring structure, clarity, and accountability
- Implement firm-wide operational efficiencies – mapping systems, identifying redundancies, reducing costs
- Manage department budgets, allocate resources, and track performance
- Manage an HR Generalist who oversees employee relations, payroll oversight, performance reviews, benefits, and compliance
- Navigate firm personalities with professionalism, confidence, and empathy
- Coordinate firm marketing efforts across all five practice departments
- Own and drive RFP processes – from discovery to submission, including timelines and lawyer collaboration
- Organize internal/external events (annual, departmental, marketing-focused)
- Help improve client experience, retention, and brand awareness
- Work closely with a 4 member accounting department; streamline internal billing, time tracking, and efficiency; no formal financial designation needed, but you’ll work closely with financial reporting and budgeting
- Create and enforce firm-wide standards – from letter formatting to administrative workflows and productivity
- Champion a firm culture of accountability, respect, and collaboration
- Present confidently to partners; be a trusted voice in firm decisions
Who You Are
- Experienced in law firm operations or professional services – you’ve worked with strong personalities and do not shy away from voicing your professional opinion with grace
- A systems thinker – you love solving inefficiencies and putting structure in place
- Naturally confident and diplomatic

- Strategic and creative – you don’t just manage tasks; you drive progress and change
- Familiarity with firm management software
- Comfort with budgeting, reporting, and performance analytics
What You Get
- Autonomy – bring your ideas to life and run with them
- Impact – influence the day-to-day and long-term direction of the firm
- Support – from leadership and your direct reports
- Growth – real opportunity to refine a firm in transformation
