Location: Hybrid (Toronto office and remote work)

Job Description: We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Finance to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in financial modeling, preparation and review of financial statements, quarterly reporting, and presentation to the board. This role requires hands-on leadership, oversight of two controllers, and thorough review of monthly financials. The Director of Finance will also be responsible for project accounting for large engineering and development engagements.

Key Responsibilities:- Prepare and analyze financial statements- Conduct quarterly reporting and presentations to the board- Oversee and provide guidance to two controllers- Perform detailed review of monthly financials- Lead project accounting for large engineering and development projects- Develop and maintain large Excel models for financial analysis- Utilize advanced Excel skills for financial modeling and reporting- Collaborate with auditors and manage audit processes- Ensure compliance with tax regulations- Understand and manage debt-service coverage ratios- Work with trustees and lenders to manage financial relationships

Qualifications:- Proven experience in financial modeling and preparation of financial statements- Strong analytical and review skills for financial statements- Proficiency in advanced Excel- Experience with audit and tax processes- Understanding of debt-service coverage ratios- Experience working with trustees and lenders- Strong leadership and management skills- Ability to work both in the Toronto office and remotely.
