About Our Client

We are working with a financial services client in North York (on the subway line). They offer a hybrid work environment. They are looking to hire a Director Business Intelligence & Portfolio Reporting.

Responsibilities:

- With the BI team, oversee the development and maintenance of the company’s databases and related technology and ensure the accuracy and integrity of data within these systems
- Collaborate with other Company departments, including Account Management and Finance, to implement effective data-gathering processes and maintain high data quality standards
- Responsibilities extend from establishing the processes for data gathering, maintenance, database management, and ensuring technological integrity to the conceptual design, production, review, and dissemination of reports
- Will lead the BI team and a Reporting Analyst, dedicated to ensuring that all reports are thorough, precise, and align with the expectations of internal and external stakeholders
- Direct the creation and delivery of custom portfolio reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Work closely with the Reporting Analyst to ensure reports are insightful, accurate, and tailored to stakeholder needs.
- Review and approve all reporting deliverables, ensuring they meet company standards and stakeholder expectations
- Define and implement strategies for the company’s Business Intelligence and Reporting functions.
- Identify and pursue opportunities for process improvements and technological advancements.
- Align BI and reporting initiatives with the company's overall strategic objectives.

Requirements:

- University Degree in Technology, Finance/Accounting will be an asset.
- Extensive experience managing and analyzing data, including strong understanding of Financial Data.
- Analyze data before reporting findings and data-driven recommendations to the company for decision making
- Strong knowledge of Power BI
- Experience in leading/Coaching Small teams
- Good familiarity with querying and reporting tools.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel
- Very strong project management skills and/or substantial exposure to project-based work structures.
- Skilled proficiency in preparation of reports, presentations, summaries and analysis
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Preferred industry: Financial Services/Corporate Finance , Capital Market etc
