Job Description
Our client, a large, well-established Retailer, is looking for a dynamic and strategic-thinking Director of real Estate and retail Operations to join their team.
Please note that this role is 5-days on-site based in the west GTA.
Responsibilities
- Support client groups with retail analysis & operational reporting including, but not limited to, P&L statements, New Store Opening projections & forecasting, and post-mortem analysis
- Support Real Estate Team in revising, developing & implementing processes
- Be the first point of contact for client groups and tactfully manage stakeholder relationships regarding Real Estate matters
- Managing ongoing projects related to new store openings, inspections, repairs & maintenance
- Ensuring all retail locations are up to environmental standards & requirements, and if not, creating & implementing action plans for required changes
- Being a subject matter expert and 'early adopter' in the area of Retail Operations and Real Estate
- Ongoing research and managing communications with all internal & external stakeholders on industry changes and trends
- Support Real Estate Team with business & operational analysis to identify strengths, opportunities, and recommendations
Skills & Knowledge
- University degree or College diploma in Business Administration
- Previous experience working in Retail Operations and/or Commercial Real Estate
- Progressive experience in roles that require business analytical skills such as financial analysis
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable working with diverse client groups, including counseling Senior Leaders in the area of Real Estate and Retail Operations
- Proactive & creative thinker who is passionate about strategic, big-picture thinking
