Job Description

Our client, a large, well-established Retailer, is looking for a dynamic and strategic-thinking Director of real Estate and retail Operations to join their team.

Please note that this role is 5-days on-site based in the west GTA.

Responsibilities
  • Support client groups with retail analysis & operational reporting including, but not limited to, P&L statements, New Store Opening projections & forecasting, and post-mortem analysis
  • Support Real Estate Team in revising, developing & implementing processes
  • Be the first point of contact for client groups and tactfully manage stakeholder relationships regarding Real Estate matters
  • Managing ongoing projects related to new store openings, inspections, repairs & maintenance
  • Ensuring all retail locations are up to environmental standards & requirements, and if not, creating & implementing action plans for required changes
  • Being a subject matter expert and 'early adopter' in the area of Retail Operations and Real Estate
  • Ongoing research and managing communications with all internal & external stakeholders on industry changes and trends
  • Support Real Estate Team with business & operational analysis to identify strengths, opportunities, and recommendations

Skills & Knowledge
  • University degree or College diploma in Business Administration
  • Previous experience working in Retail Operations and/or Commercial Real Estate
  • Progressive experience in roles that require business analytical skills such as financial analysis
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable working with diverse client groups, including counseling Senior Leaders in the area of Real Estate and Retail Operations
  • Proactive & creative thinker who is passionate about strategic, big-picture thinking
