ABOUT OUR CLIENT:
Our client, a high-growth beauty and personal care company, is seeking an experienced and strategic-minded Marketing Communications leader to join their team in the capacity of Director of Integrated Marketing Communications. The ideal candidate for the Director of Integrated Marketing Communications will have a successful track record of leading earned media, influencer relationships, content, and paid media campaigns, and play a crucial role in developing and executing comprehensive content, marketing, and communication strategies to enhance brand reputation, drive engagement, and support the company's overall objectives. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and innovative professional with a background in the Beauty, Cosmetics, Personal Care, Fashion/ Lifestyle, or CPG industries.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Director of Integrated Marketing Communications will perform a diverse range of functions including but limited to:
- Be responsible for Strategy Development, Influencer Relations, Media Relations, Communications, Content Strategy, and Paid and Earned Social Media Strategy
- Develop and implement brand, marketing, content, and communication strategies to effectively convey the company's brand message, values, and initiatives across key channels of communication: social media, influencer, PR, and other digital media channels
- Manage and lead a team responsible for Influencer Marketing, PR, Content Creation, and Social Media Management (Paid and earned)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, PR, and executive leadership, to align marketing communication efforts with business goals
- Collaborate with brand teams and agencies to develop extensive ideas for communications platforms to support brand equity, new launches, and core re-support
- Create and deploy compelling content across various channels, including press releases, articles, blog posts, and social media, ensuring consistent brand messaging and tone
- Oversee influencer marketing initiatives (both paid and earned), including identification, relationship management, and campaign execution, to drive brand advocacy and reach new audiences
- Drive thought leadership initiatives by identifying speaking engagements, industry events, and award opportunities to position the company as an industry leader
- Build strong relationships across a wide network of creator talent, influencer agencies, and PR agencies
- Manage Agency partners and oversee the execution of media relations strategy, seeking high-level placements in print, broadcast, online, and social media
- Lead social media strategy and execution, including content planning, community management, influencer collaborations, and paid social media campaigns, to increase brand awareness, engagement, and conversions
- Manage and optimize paid media campaigns, including social media advertising, search engine marketing (SEM), and display advertising, to maximize ROI and drive targeted traffic
- Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and market insights to identify opportunities and provide recommendations for enhancing communication strategies.
- Track and analyze marketing communication metrics, including media coverage, sentiment analysis, and engagement metrics, to assess the effectiveness of communication efforts and make data-driven recommendations for improvement
- Develop and manage the marketing communications budget, ensuring optimal allocation of resources and ROI.
QUALIFICATIONS:
The ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications:
- Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in Integrated Marketing Communications, Public Relations, or related roles, preferably within the Beauty, Cosmetics, Personal Care, Fashion, or CPG industries
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing communication strategies that drive brand awareness and engagement
- Proven experience in managing Influencer Marketing programs, PR campaigns, content creation, social media management, and paid media
- Experience with Content Strategy and Social Media Strategy
- Proficient in social media management and analytics tools, content management systems, and paid media platforms
- Experience with paid media on TikTok, Meta (Facebook/ IG), YouTube, and other social media platforms
- Experience working with influencers, managing influencer partnerships, and developing an influencer marketing strategy
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling messages tailored to different audiences and platforms
- Strategic and critical thinking skills, with the ability to develop and execute integrated marketing communications strategies
- Adaptable and flexible, able to adapt to evolving industry trends and align marketing communication efforts
- Strong leadership and managerial skills, with experience leading and developing high-performing teams
- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
- Strong analytical mindset, with the ability to analyze data and metrics to derive actionable insights
- Strong understanding of the beauty and personal care industry landscape, market trends, and consumer behavior. A passion for beauty is a plus
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field. A Masters degree is a plus
