About Our Client:
Our client is seeking a professional Director, Finance with at least 5 years of relevant experience and ideally has proficient understanding of software revenue recognition.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and lead 2 staff members to complete month-end and quarter-end submissions
- Create and perform reporting framework considering deliverables' requirements
- Perform financial and management reporting and analysis
- Create and sustain professional working relationships in all departments
- Manage the payroll process for both US and Canada payroll process
- Provide support on posting journal entries, transfer pricing and bonus calculations and reconciliations
- Oversee and support Finance leads regarding financial performance management standards
- Perform on financial systems and reporting tools and help identify new efficient strategies
- Provide support in financial integration of new acquisitions, training, and guidance
- Review key accounting issues, including software revenue recognition under IFRS 15, PPA, and NWC
- Collaborate with tax teams and accounting consultants to review and manage income taxes
Qualifications
- CPA, CA designation with at least 5 years of relevant experience
- Proficient understanding of software revenue recognition under IFRS
- Strong understanding of Excel and ideally other platforms such as NetSuite, SAP BPC, Blackline and Salesforce
- Background of M&A, experience reviewing operating company submissions
- Detail oriented, professional and organized
- Strong communication skills- both oral and written
- Ability to work both independently and as a team player
