Job Description

About Our Client:

Our client is seeking a professional Development Accountant with a background in Finance or Accounting.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the development and payables procedures- tracking development invoices etc.
  • Analyze development cost spend
  • Review loan accounts, construction draws, interest payments and loan renewals
  • Review development management fee revenue
  • Organize monthly financial reports from property and development team members
  • Execute month-end close processes, post journal entries and manage balance sheet reconciliations
  • Review monthly financial reporting packages
  • Participate in the process of annual audited financial statements
  • Communicate with development team, property managers, developers, and equity partners and relevant departments
  • Support lead special and ad hoc projects as required

Qualifications

  • University degree in Finance or accounting
  • Designated CPA or in process become a CPA (required)
  • Detail oriented, professional and organized
  • Ability to work both independently and as a team
  • Excellent communication skills- both oral and written
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Excel
