Custom Brokerage Sales Executive
Location: Mississauga, ON
Our client, a Logistics company located in the Mississauga area, is looking for a motivated and experienced Sales Executive with a strong background in customs brokerage and bonded warehousing. In this role, your primary focus will be driving new business opportunities across our Canadian customs clearance services, including CW Bonded and FTZ storage solutions. The ideal candidate is comfortable engaging with eCommerce retailers, freight forwarders, and international importers and brings excellent communication and relationship-building skills to the table. Multilingual abilities—particularly in Mandarin, Cantonese, or Spanish—are a valuable asset.
Responsibilities:
Drive sales of customs brokerage solutions tailored to both B2B and B2C eCommerce businesses (including CLVS, LVS, IID, and F-Type entries).
Promote bonded warehouse offerings for temporary storage, transloading, and deconsolidation services.
Present Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) services to international clients exploring duty relief and tax savings.
Connect with potential clients, 3PLs, and logistics teams through outbound sales efforts, trade shows, and professional networks.
Lead tours of warehouse facilities and clearly explain service workflows and clearance procedures.
Collaborate with internal teams, including brokerage and operations, to ensure a seamless onboarding experience.
Track client interactions, opportunities, and sales progress using CRM platforms.
Stay informed on changes to CBSA regulations, CARM updates, and policies affecting FTZ and bonded facilities.
Identify new business prospects through proactive outreach, including cold calls and lead generation campaigns.
Nurture existing client relationships to encourage renewals and referrals.
Conduct client consultations to assess customs clearance requirements and propose optimized solutions.
Communicate the value of customs services, emphasizing compliance, speed, and cost efficiency.
Provide detailed quotes and custom-tailored proposals to support client decision-making.
Guide clients through documentation and regulatory requirements to ensure smooth customs processing.
Resolve service issues in collaboration with operations teams and maintain a high standard of customer satisfaction.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years in B2B sales within customs brokerage, international logistics, or bonded warehousing.
A degree in business, supply chain, international trade, or a similar field is preferred.
Proven track record of closing service-based deals in logistics or customs.
Deep understanding of Canadian customs processes and clearance types (CLVS, LVS, IID, F-Type), bonded warehouse operations, and FTZ benefits.
Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.
Multilingual capabilities (Mandarin, Cantonese, or Spanish) are considered an asset.
Willingness to travel for client engagements and site visits.
Familiarity with customs regulations and international trade practices is advantageous.
Strong relationship management abilities and a client-first mindset.
Self-starter with a proactive and goal-driven approach to sales.
Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Experience using CRM tools such as Salesforce or HubSpot is a plus.
