About the Role:

Our client is seeking an experienced Corporate Controller to join their leadership team. Reporting directly to the executive leadership team, this role will oversee the corporate accounting function across multiple business entities, including operating companies and investment holdings. This is a broad, hands-on leadership opportunity for a CPA who enjoys working in an entrepreneurial environment and partnering closely with senior leadership on strategic financial initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting process for multiple entities.
• Prepare annual financial statements and oversee the year-end audit process.
• Manage the full-cycle corporate accounting function, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, cash management, and general ledger activities.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial planning.
• Prepare financial analysis and management reporting to support business decision-making.
• Manage treasury activities, banking relationships, and corporate cash management.
• Coordinate corporate and partnership tax compliance while working closely with external tax advisors.
• Oversee reporting for investment entities and affiliated companies.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a small accounting team.
• Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, internal controls, and reporting efficiencies.
• Support executive leadership with special projects and strategic initiatives.

Qualifications:

• CPA designation required (CPA, CA preferred).
• Minimum 8+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience, including leadership responsibilities.
• Public accounting foundation, ideally with a small or mid-sized firm.
• Strong knowledge of ASPE financial reporting.
• Experience within a multi-entity corporate environment.
• Exposure to corporate tax compliance and investment holding companies.
• Real estate or property management industry experience is strongly preferred.
• Proven people leadership experience.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills with a collaborative, hands-on approach.
