Controller - Pathway to Director of Finance

Our client, a respected and expanding manufacturing company in Vaughan, is hiring a Controller who’s ready to step into a future Director of Finance role.

This is a hands-on leadership opportunity to influence business performance, strengthen financial operations, and drive continuous improvement.

What You’ll Do

• Oversee the full financial cycle — month-end close, reporting, budgeting, and forecasting
• Lead product costing, margin analysis, and cost management initiatives
• Partner with operations to enhance financial visibility and support decision-making
• Identify process efficiencies and implement best practices across finance functions
• Mentor and guide a small team, fostering a collaborative and accountable culture

What You Bring

• 5+ years of progressive finance experience within the manufacturing industry
• CPA designation (or in progress) is strongly encouraged, but not required
• Strong leadership, analytical, and business partnering abilities
• Advanced Excel proficiency and experience with ERP systems
• A proactive, improvement-focused mindset and desire to grow into senior leadership
