Our client, a leading multi-national construction company specializing in full-service residential renovations, is seeking an experienced Controller to lead the Finance function and support continued growth across Canada and the U.S.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee cash flow planning, reporting, and forecasting.
Lead the AR, AP, and financial accounting teams, ensuring accurate month-end close and reporting.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with USGAAP.
Implement and maintain strong internal controls and compliance frameworks.
Manage banking, budgeting, forecasting, and external audits.
Partner with senior leadership to provide actionable financial insights and strategic support.
Qualifications
CPA designation with 3–5+ years of experience in a similar leadership role, ideally within construction.
Strong knowledge of US GAAP, inventory accounting, and internal controls. Required.
Proven experience in budgeting, forecasting, and ERP systems.
Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, etc.).
Strong communicator and relationship builder with a hands-on, collaborative leadership style.
