About Our Client

Our client, located in Toronto, is in the entertainment industry and looking for a Controller to join the team.

Responsibilities

The Controller will be responsible for but not limited to:
  • Oversee day-to-day corporate accounting duties and manage the monthly financial statement close process
  • Actively participate in the annual audit process
  • Preparation of the annual financial statements
  • Manage the annual financial statement audit process
  • Monitor cash flow for current and manage banking relationships
  • Manage the preparation of the annual tax filings as well as the preparation of other statutory tax filings
  • Other ad hoc duties as required

Qualifications

  • CPA or other professional designation is required
  • Experience in the entertainment or publishing industry is required
  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and maintain attention to detail in an environment requiring flexibility and adaptability
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent project management and leadership skills
