About:

Our client is looking for a professional Controller with a minimum of 7 years of progressive accounting experience. The ideal candidate would have a background working in healthcare, physician practice, or multi-site industry.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead transition to accrual accounting and EMR-based revenue recognition.
  • Oversee Microsoft Dynamics ERP implementation.
  • Ensure IFRS compliance and audit readiness.
  • Prepare clinic-level P&Ls and financial reporting.
  • Streamline physician compensation processes.
  • Resolve EMR billing and coding issues.
  • Manage and mentor the finance team.
  • Prepare monthly financial reports, KPIs, and variance analysis.
  • Support budgeting and operating plan development.
  • Coordinate external audits and corporate reporting.
  • Partner with shared services on tax, treasury, and insurance.
  • Provide FP&A support, forecasting, and financial analysis.
  • Prepare quarterly board reporting and key metrics.
  • Support ongoing finance integration within WELL.
Qualifications:
  • CPA designation.
  • 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including Controller or senior finance leadership.
  • IFRS reporting or conversion experience.
  • Microsoft Dynamics or ERP implementation experience.
  • Healthcare, physician practice, or multi-site industry experience preferred.
  • Build and improve finance processes and reporting.
  • Bilingual in English and French.
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge.
  • Manage complex revenue recognition, physician compensation, and intercompany transactions.
  • Lead and mentor small finance teams with a hands-on approach.
  • Communicate effectively with corporate and operational stakeholders.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and MS Office.
