Our client, a software company located in the west GTA is looking for a Controller to help establish and enhance systems and processes in the finance department. The company has a solid reputation as a leader in its field and is very well established. They offer an opportunity to work 100% remotely and a competitive compensation package.

Responsibilities:

Reporting into the CFO, the Controller will lead the accounting and finance department. Your prior background in establishing systems and processes will help you hit the ground running.

• Month end close;
• Preparing the consolidated financial statements in a multi-currency environment;
• Assisting with the budgeting and forecasting process;
• Preparing cash flow reports and projections;
• Overseeing monthly billing ensuring revenue is recognized according to company policies and related A/R and A/P functions;
• Managing the government tax remittance process;
• Overseeing payroll;
• Establishing and maintaining internal controls;
• Assisting with software/ERP implementation

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting ; CPA designation
• Minimum 7 years of overall experience in accounting and finance with at least 2 years in managerial role
• Experience with consolidated financial reporting
• Experience with multi-currency environments
• Proven track record of using technology to streamline processes
• Experience with software implementation
• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
• Demonstrated leadership skills
• Curious, data driven, flexible and strong technology skills
