Position Overview:
Our client in the Manufacturing industry seeking a results-oriented Controller to lead and scale their core accounting and reporting functions. This role is critical to ensuring financial integrity, enabling real-time insights, and supporting strategic growth initiatives—including an expansion into the US. You will work closely with the VP of Finance and other senior leaders to drive operational excellence and financial discipline in their engineering and manufacturing companies.
Key Responsibilities;
- Own the preparation of accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP/IFRS.
- Lead month-end and year-end close processes, including reconciliations, journal entries, and consolidation.
- Maintain and enforce internal controls, accounting policies, and best practices
- Oversee all day-to-day accounting operations including AP, AR, payroll, inventory, and job costing.
- Implement automation and process improvements to reduce close timelines and increase accuracy.
- Assist in the design and implementation of a revised estimating and job costing process utilizing Business Central as the backbone.
- Evaluate, implement, and integrate tools to improve the accuracy, speed, and transparency of financial and production data.
- Build and lead a high-performing accounting team, including hiring, coaching, and performance management.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, project management, production and executive leadership to support strategic initiatives and reporting.
Qualifications:
- CPA or equivalent designation
- Previous controllership experience within a manufacturing environment
- Demonstrated success implementing financial systems and process automation.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Hands-on, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Advanced Excel skills
