About Our Client
Our client in Toronto is seeking an experienced Controller to join our team for a 12 month contract opportuntiy.
Responsibilities:
The Financial Controller will play a critical role in managing all aspects of financial reporting, payroll processing, tax compliance, and overseeing finance-related processes. The Controller will lead the full bi-weekly payroll cycle, reconcile bank accounts, manage cash-flow forecasts, oversee vendor payments and perform the month-end close.
The Controller will deliver accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements with insightful analysis for senior management. You will and handle all GST, U.S. duty, and other statutory filings; liaise with external tax advisers and auditors to ensure full compliance. The successful Controller will maintain robust internal controls, drive automation, and support budgeting and forecasting with the CFO.
Qualifications:
· CPA designation, candidates pursuing CPA will also be considered.
· Strong knowledge of QuickBooks Online and expertise with MS Office Suite.
· Strong problem-solving, organizational and analytical skills.
· Excellent attention to detail, analytical mindset, and problem-solving abilities.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
