Our client, a professional services firm located in Toronto, is seeking a Communication Manager as a new member of a growing team. The ideal candidate is in Communications or Public Relations with a minimum 5 years of progressive communications experience within an agency or corporate environment. Prior experience working for a regulatory body or member-focused organization is a must. The company offers a flexible work environment, strong benefits, and the ability to make an impact.

Responsibilities
Working closely with the communications team, you will be responsible for performing a diverse range of functions including but not limited to:
  • Creating of a wide range of communications products and materials.
  • Providing strategic communications input to marketing campaigns and events.
  • Partnering with design and digital teams, as well as external agencies to ensure appropriate “tone and voice” in organizational messaging.
  • Acting as an advisor to various internal cross-functional teams on communications matters.
  • Exercising good judgment in identifying and responding to complex issues or inquiries.

Qualifications
The following are the minimum requirements to be considered for this role:
  • A post-secondary graduate preferably in Communications or Public Relations with a minimum 5 years of progressive communications experience.
  • Adept at operating with a high degree of autonomy, a proactive, entrepreneurial mindset and the ability to build relationships and establish rapport with others across the business.
  • A supportive leader with the ability to work in a highly collaborative cross-functional environment.
  • An excellent communicator (verbal and written) with strong presentation, interpersonal and public speaking skills.
  • Flexibility to work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment where work outside of regular business hours may be required.
