We are seeking a skilled and motivated Civil Engineer to join this growing team in Ottawa. This position offers the opportunity to work on a wide range of site development and municipal infrastructure projects within a collaborative and dynamic team environment. Ideal candidates will bring a strong technical background, effective communication skills, and a passion for delivering innovative and practical solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and contribute to the design and analysis of site development and municipal infrastructure projects, from conceptual planning to construction approvals.
  • Prepare engineering reports, technical studies, and stormwater management plans in accordance with local guidelines and standards.
  • Perform design calculations related to servicing and stormwater management.
  • Ensure compliance with City of Ottawa, MECP, and other applicable design standards based on project location.
  • Collaborate closely with designers and drafters to produce high-quality engineering designs.
  • Mentor junior team members by providing technical guidance and support.
  • Act as a liaison with clients, municipalities, multidisciplinary teams, and regulatory agencies throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Assist in the preparation of engineering drawings, Environmental Compliance Approval (ECA) submissions, cost estimates, and supporting documentation for site development projects.

The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field, with a minimum of 4 years of local experience in site development and municipal infrastructure projects, preferably in the Ottawa region. A P.Eng. designation in Ontario is required, along with strong knowledge of Ontario design standards, stormwater management principles, municipal servicing, and grading design. Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and PCSWMM is essential. The candidate should also demonstrate excellent technical writing and communication skills for report preparation and client interactions, along with strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
