About Our Client:
This Global Communications company is looking for a Chief Researcher - Network Protocol to join them in a full-time permanent position.
Responsibilities:
• Lead the research, development, and deployment of ambitious networking solutions that will have a profound impact on Huawei’s global cloud network, and orchestrate research and technologies across the research and business scene into a single, cohesive technical road map.
• Develop and build networking technologies and protocols in global cloud networking, delivering innovations to cloud services and performance to forge product competitiveness.
• Lead our research team to explore state-of-the-art networking technologies for cloud global infrastructure, including but not limited to; network protocol stack optimization, traffic engineering, congestion control, routing, and resource allocation for cross-region cloud networks.
• Explore optimization opportunities for state-of-the-art cross-region cloud networks in Huawei’s global cloud networks based on the latest research progress.
• Develop mindshare by bringing ideas forward to multiple product teams.
• Build up and maintain effective communication with professionals in both academia and industry and ensure Huawei’s value is being delivered.
Requirements:
• 10+ years of professional experience in research, engineering, and technical innovation.
• 3+ years of team-leading research and/or technical innovation.
• Experience in networking, data network architectures, software architecture, or distributed systems.
• Experience in research, design, or operation of systems.
• Expertise in wide-area networking, protocol stack, routing or traffic engineering, cloud computing technologies, sky computing, multi-cloud, data center networking, and/or similar areas.
• Demonstrated strong influence on Internet technologies, in academia or industry context.
• Experience providing technical structure to teams, and working closely with management and stakeholders to define strategic roadmaps.
• Experience working with distributed teams working across multiple time zones and geographies.
