About Our Client

Our Client is a prominent law firm committed to delivering comprehensive business, litigation, and dispute resolution services to clients across Canada and internationally. They are currently seeking a Commercial Lending and Real Estate Paralegal with solid work experience and educational background to join their team. Candidates must be able to work well both independently and within a team environment.

Salary ranging from $80,000 to $100,000

Responsibilities

• Review and interpret instructions provided by the Lender.
• Liaise with both the Borrower and Lender to obtain search authorizations and gather necessary information.
• Conduct and assess due diligence searches, including Land Title Office, Corporate Registry, and Personal Property Registry.
• Prepare and review legal security documentation.
• Draft preliminary title reports for client review.
• Coordinate the delivery of loan and security documents to the Borrower’s legal counsel.
• Review executed security documents upon receipt.
• Coordinate and initiate the disbursement of loan funds.
• File security documentation with the appropriate governmental or legal registries.
• Prepare and issue final reporting letters.
• Conduct and review post-registration searches.
• Compile and deliver final reports and complete loan document binders for the client.
• Maintain and manage physical and digital file organization throughout the transaction lifecycle.
• Provide administrative and transactional support to both Commercial and Residential Conveyancers.
• Perform additional duties and responsibilities as required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Paralegal program.
• Minimum of 8+ years of experience as a Paralegal, with a focus on Lending and Real Estate law.
• In-depth knowledge of the Land Title Act and Personal Property Security Act, including experience with filings in the Land Title Office and Personal Property Registry.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Outlook.
• Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills, with the ability to exercise sound judgment, discretion, and maintain confidentiality.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and professionally.
• Capable of managing multiple tasks, prioritizing effectively, and meeting tight deadlines.
