About Our Client


Our client, a well-established company in the Security Solutions and specialty hardware industry, is currently seeking a strong Business Development Manager (BDM) to add as a key member of their sales team. The position offers a comfortable base plus bonus and commission. The Business Development Manager will be responsible for developing and maintaining client relationships through specific territories to grow the company's market share. This position is ideal for someone who is an organized, self-starter with Outside Sales experience.


Responsibilities


As part of the Sales team, the Business Development Manager (BDM) will be responsible for performing a diverse range of functions including but not limited to:
  • Develop and execute a sales strategy plan to achieve sales targets and to expand the company’s customer base
  • Drive new business and revenue
  • Manage an existing book of business and conduct B2B sales activities to bring in net new business across a regional territory
  • Make warm and cold calls to new accounts
  • Drive company success by building and maintaining strong relationships with existing and new clients and by achieving specific KPIs
  • Be willing to travel within the wider GTA network
  • Enter and maintain accurate records of sales activities in company CRM
  • Follow up on outstanding proposals and new proposals
  • Effective time management skills as this is a hybrid in-office/ remote working position



Qualifications

The following are the minimum requirements to be considered for this role:
  • Outside Sales experience
  • Strong sales and customer service experience
  • Well-developed negotiation skills
  • Have a valid driver's license
  • Experience using a CRM system to input and analyze sales data
  • Have a high-energy, hunter-type mentality
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-motivated, self-starter with a “can-do”attitude
  • Experience in Security Solutions or the Specialist Hardware industry is an asset
