Our client, a Logistics company located in the Mississauga area, is looking for a Business Development Executive to join their fast-growing team. In this role, you will focus on driving revenue growth by identifying and securing profitable business opportunities, creating long-term strategies for business expansion, and building strong, lasting relationships with key clients. You will play an integral part in enhancing their operational plans, leading client meetings, and keeping key stakeholders informed of significant business developments. This role offers the opportunity to grow into a leadership role.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and secure new accounts within the 3PL Logistics, Warehousing, and Fulfillment sectors. Develop and execute strategic sales plans to increase revenue and expand the customer base.
- Analyze sales, marketing, supplier, and vendor operations, and provide recommendations to streamline and improve efficiency.
- Present business development opportunities and key marketing initiatives to company executives and senior management.
- Take ownership of customer accounts, ensuring top-tier service, managing monthly reporting, and meeting set performance targets.
- Be accountable for driving revenue growth, maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction, and ensuring long-term client retention.
- Lead the onboarding process for new clients, addressing operational requirements and ensuring a smooth transition. Provide ongoing customer service and support post-sale.
Qualifications:
- Able to drive throughout Ontario with occasional travel to the US and across Canada for Tradeshows our new accounts.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, or a related field is required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in logistics and transportation sales, ideally bringing a book of business
- Strong experience in logistics and ideally 3PL with account acquisition, retention, upselling, and developing long-term business relationships.
- In-depth understanding of warehouse management systems, transportation management systems, and supply chain services/products.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot).
- Excellent problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to analyze data and make informed business decisions.
- Salary will be base + commissions and bonus with a guaranteed bonus in year 1. OTE $110 - 130K
