As a Business Analyst - User Security within the Financial Applications team, you will play a pivotal role in managing role-based access, maintaining compliance, and overseeing security protocols across financial applications. Reporting to the Supervisor of Financial Applications, this role focuses on safeguarding user access, ensuring compliance with security controls, and supporting audit cycles. The Business Analyst – User Security will be proficient with access management best practices and bring a proactive approach to enhancing security and mitigating risks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify, recommend, and implement security solutions, automation, and enhancements to improve user access management and ensure long-term compliance.
  • Address and resolve requests and incidents related to security roles, user access, and Segregation of Duty in Financial Applications, ensuring that access controls are maintained and effectively communicated to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with End Users, and the Compliance team to establish access management processes and frameworks that align with control standards while enhancing the user experience.
  • Support audit cycles by preparing necessary documentation, conducting data analysis, assisting with audit walkthroughs, and contributing to the remediation of findings.
  • Participate in projects by collecting, analyzing, and translating business requirements into system specifications, performing testing, and delivering security-related features for new or existing tools.
  • Develop reference materials and facilitate the transfer of knowledge from project groups to support teams and stakeholders, serving as the primary point of contact for access management and security issues.
  • Provide day-to-day support for master data-related requests within Financial Applications.
  • Create and update documentation and procedures for finance-related workflows, ensuring consistency and accuracy in security-related processes.

The ideal candidate will have over 3 years of experience in security analysis, user access management, and managing complex Segregation of Duty requirements. They will hold a degree in, Finance, or education in application security. Demonstrated success in a similar role, particularly within ERP or financial applications, is essential. The candidate should possess deep expertise in security solutions and automation, with an enthusiasm for industry tools. They will be familiar with access management control standards and experienced in analyzing and resolving security-related incidents.

A proactive and organized team player, this individual has strong time management skills and can work independently in a fast-paced environment. They are a skilled researcher and problem-solver, able to prioritize tasks effectively and meet deadlines. With excellent verbal and written communication skills, they can interact professionally with executives, managers, subject matter experts, and external vendors.

Experience with ERP systems such as IFS, D365, or SAP is an asset, as is a background in compliance requirements and audit cycles related to finance functions. Functional experience in a financial role is also considered beneficial.
