We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst – Financial Application to join their large team. Reporting to the Supervisor, this role will support and maintain the ERP and other financial systems, ensuring seamless functionality and supporting process improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial applications support and ERP systems, with proven experience in application configuration, troubleshooting, and system optimization. The successful person will bring a strong accounting foundation and demonstrate a successful transition to financial systems. They should possess excellent analytical skills, enabling them to identify the root causes of issues and recommend effective solutions to both the financial and application development teams. Strong communication and collaboration skills are essential, as the role involves regular interaction with business system owners, end-users, technology teams, and vendors. Familiarity with gathering, analyzing, and translating business requirements into system requirements is crucial, along with the ability to oversee configurations and customizations that align with business processes. Additionally, experience supporting audit cycles and presenting relevant evidence is highly valued, as is a proactive approach to identifying areas for improvement within financial applications and business processes. We are looking for someone who has worked as a “superuser” or “power user” and has leveraged their background in accounting to support an ERP transition. Post-secondary education in accounting or information technology is needed. This role will require you to be on-site 4 days/week.
