Our Client is an established property management company in the Ottawa area that has spanned generations. The organization is a well-run small business with sites on acquisition and expansion; with over 800 units in the Nation's Capital, they can offer a variety of property options to their tenants. Under strong leadership, the organization prides itself on treating all employees like family, and they are currently seeking a Residential Property Manager
The Role we are looking for is a Building Manager who can help support the team on either of their available sites. Your role would include showing and leasing apartments, managing the rent and outstanding receivables, liaising with tenants, and working with subcontractors to ensure maintenance requests are adhered to. You will act as the first point of contact for tenants and play a critical role in representing the organization while ensuring occupancy is maximized. Your responsibilities will include: answering tenant inquiries while providing stellar customer service, preparing and maintaining current lease agreements, coordinating move-ins & outs, scheduling maintenance staff as required, ensuring rent is collected promptly, maintaining recent tenant contact information, and coordinating with the Building Superintendents and Contractors for work required. You will be able to manage the budget of the buildings and the site is all located within the downtown core.
The Ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience working within a property management environment. You will have expertise in reviewing and executing leases and service contracts and bring a strong customer service background to the role. You will bring an understanding of health & safety requirements and be able to adhere to environmental compliance requirements. Experience working with Yardi would be an asset.
