Job Description

A well-established financial services client is seeking a Bilingual Collections Specialist to support high-volume account management activities within a fast-paced customer-focused environment. This role requires strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills while balancing customer service with risk mitigation and collections objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Manage high-volume inbound and outbound collections activity
  • Negotiate payment arrangements and resolve delinquent accounts
  • Maintain accurate account documentation and follow-up records
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory guidelines
  • Assess account risk and recommend appropriate solutions or escalations
  • Utilize collection and skip-tracing tools to support account resolution
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including customer service and legal
  • Support repossession, insurance, and loss mitigation activities as required
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and team objectives

Qualifications

  • Bilingual in English and French (written and verbal)
  • 2+ years of collections, finance, or related customer account management experience
  • Automotive finance or financial services experience is considered an asset
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and customer service skills
  • Open to bilingual new graduates will be considered
  • Ability to manage high-volume workloads with strong attention to detail
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and CRM systems
  • Organized, team-oriented, and capable of working independently
  • Postsecondary education preferred
